My First Crochet Craft

I first picked up a crochet hook in 2004 when on bedrest with Pip, now three years and one Sprout later, I've finished my first crochet craft.

It was the Anarchy Irony Hat from Stitch N' Bitch Crochet: The Happy Hooker and thankfully it fits Green Husband to a T.

Now I'm itching to start my next beginner's project. Any suggestions?

Fantastic! I haven't had the patience for knitting or crocheting since I was about 10. And I only ever made a bunch of wonky scarves.

Okay hi,
Sorry, I'm another one of those who's come across your site because I googled "green jokes" and up you come at no. 1.
But I have to ask since now I'm here.
What does (from your home page) living in "planting zone 7" mean ?
I have visions of something between Blade Runner and Kafka in my mind, where maybe apart from working zone, sleeping zone and feeding zone, some futuristic world order has a planting zone ...
Regards from the West of Ireland.

Wow. I am really impressed GOG -- and not just with your crocheting but more by the fact that you have peeps in the west coast of Ireland! And that one can google "green jokes" and up pops your blog site! Wowwie, wee-wah.

Off topic - but I was re-reading your bio and wanted to mention my new replacement for ziploc bags...old fashioned wax paper bags. Expensive but available at Wild oats and Whole Foods
