Good bye, Andrea

One of the other things that happened on my birthday was the passing of Andrea. I donate to very few charities but one I contribute to year after year is hospice. Both my cousin, who also died of inflammatory breast cancer, and my great aunt benefited from their care, as did Andrea.

Take care, Andrea. Peace be with you.

I followed Andrea's blog after you mentioned it one time. It is heart-wrenching to read. I find absolutely no comfort in reading it but I felt like I just HAD to read it. Maybe it's because my life was so affected by cancer, hospice & death. I bawled like a baby every time I read it. What a story she wrote.

Oh, wow. Darn. I clicked through and realized I can't be reading this at work... will check in later.

She really gave the world an insightful gift, though, her first-hand account of the whole journey, didn't she? I would have loved to have had something similar from my dad when cancer claimed him.

I have not stopped thinking of Andrea since you posted this. I went over to her blog and cried and cried. This is all so very unfortunate. What a strong mama. What else can be said - so sad - I am so sorry!
