This week's required reading is:

A Girl Named Disaster by Nancy Farmer

and

Habibi by Naomi Shihab Nye

And yes, I have read six books so far in three weeks!

Amy,

I received the journal yesterday. Thank you so much--what a helpful way to record all that info!

What course are you completing? And what age group are the books you're reading aimed at? Always looking for good choices for my "I'm allergic to reading" 9 year old son. You've probably answered the aforementioned question but I've been offline so long!

You're welcome, Carrie! Sorry for the delay!

Joanie - I am taking a course on young adult literature to complete my certification as a school library media specialist. We are reading a variety of books from different genres and different perspectives. How about something for your son that is not ye olde standard fiction? It seems that boys in this age group are fascinated by non-fiction.
