Okay, so I'm having a little bit of trouble staying away. Especially when it's
Backwards Works-for-Me Wednesday over at
Shannon's House.
I have posted about this
previously, but I spit this out to the wider audience:
What is a nice, natural way of deep-cleaning wall-to-wall carpeting? The kind that has some orange juice down near its roots?
Now I'm on break. Really.

I don't know about all over carpet cleaning but for spot cleaning I use vinegar and water. I have several coffee and tea spills from an 11 month old crawling and pulling my coffee cup. I mix 1 part water to 1 part vinegar in a cheap plastic spray bottle. Spray the area and let it sit for a few minutes then take a light color towel and blot the area. I made a huge difference on the stains that the carpet cleaner wasn't making a dent on. I have light colored Berber so it really showed.
ask a company if they will use just water and a bit of non toxic soap in their steamer machine. and then you can spot clean, with vinegar and water. but you need to be able to really air out the rooms so that the rugs will dry(best when you can keep the windows open!
