Haiku Friday: Gas is $3.54 a Gallon

Dear Schwinn: Please send me
a bicycle built for four.
Gas prices are up.

Congratulations to Carrie of It Matters to This One! She is the winner of Spring: An Alphabet Acrostic by Sea Dog Press owner and operator Leslie Evans!

No doubt...gas prices really suck!

Don't buy schwinn...not made in usa anymore. But, if you happen to find a huge tandem? Lemme know.

I love you. Utterly, perfectly clever.

Ugh

We are going to Disney this summer and had planned on driving, but SW came out with some really cheap fares. Once I did the calculations, it was cheaper to fly. By about $100. Not to mention the lower stress level of not having to listen to the whinging in the back. :)

Great 'ku!

Thanks! I'm so excited about winning. Gas prices - having put 500 miles on my car for a false baby alarm, I just wish prices were lower so I could go back for the real thing! Oh well.

LOL, but totally agree but I would need a bike for 6 .. soon to be 7!

$3.54 a gallon, we pay £1.20 per litre which works out in dollars to roughly $9.08 (calculating litres per gallon and the higher pound)

The majority of our cost is in taxes. But high taxes don't keep people out of their cars because public transport here is expensive, overcrowded in the cities and poorly maintained nearly everywhere. But don't let any of this keep you from visiting!

My Haiku would have been

Dear Mr Brown: Spend on
improving public transport
petrol prices bite!
